Paid Positions at Camp Linn Haven

Camp Linn Haven offers seasonal paid positions that support the daily life and ministry of camp. These roles are essential to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for campers, staff, and guests.

Kitchen & Support Staff

Kitchen and support staff play a critical role in the daily operations of camp by helping maintain clean facilities, preparing meals, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.

Position Requirements

  • Kitchen and support staff must:
  • Be at least 14 years of age
  • Be dependable, hardworking, and willing to serve as part of a team
  • Be able to perform essential tasks, including:
  • Washing, drying, and folding laundry
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Washing dishes
  • Cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors

These are paid seasonal positions.

Interested applicants should contact Teirsa Lane by January prior to the camping season.

Camp Counselors

Counselors are the nourishment God has provided for the growth of our campers. Each counselor is entrusted with the care of a cabin of 5–6 campers and accompanies them throughout the day—during activities, meals, devotions, and after lights out.

Counselors also help lead and support daily camp life, including art, recreation, devotions, and whole-group activities, creating an environment that is fun, engaging, and safe for all campers.

Counselor Expectations

Counselors serve campers in the following ways:

Socially: Love and accept children while encouraging enthusiasm and participation in all activities.

Emotionally: Build relationships and provide care for campers who are homesick, lonely, sad, or in need of support.

Physically: Enjoy the outdoors and meet the demands of a full week at camp.

Spiritually: Demonstrate a deep commitment to God and His Word through prayer, love, and Christ-centered leadership.

Counselor Conduct Guidelines

Because we teach by example, counselors are expected to uphold the following standards:

No alcoholic beverages

No smoking

No leaving camp grounds without permission from the Dean, and then only in an emergency

We thank God that you are prayerfully considering His call to serve as a camp counselor.
